The Abundance Project: Wêyôtan

Working with non-profit social enterprise partners, we connect investors with clean-energy projects to implement solar and other green retrofits on buildings owned by First Nations, faith communities and non-profits.

Newo is the Alberta ambassador for a program that aims to help the United Church of Canada reduce carbon emissions from church buildings by 80 percent by 2050 through energy-efficient retrofit.

Pecamu Makoce (“fixing the Earth”) is a program combining the work of healing the earth with the work of healing our hearts and souls, pairing energy-efficiency and solar-installation work with holistic life skills development.

Newo is working with the Maskwacis Education Schools Commission (MESC) to develop a pathway to supply the school kitchens with healthy, culturally appropriate, ecologically sustainable and economically sensible food.
